Enroll a Student

Teachers can create a student account from My students. Have the student's full name and email address ready before you begin.

Enroll the student

  1. Sign in to Yarpad as a teacher.
  2. Open the application menu and select My students.
  3. Select Enrollment from the bottom navigation.
  4. Enter the student's Full name and Email.
  5. Select Register to submit the enrollment.

To close the enrollment form without submitting it, select Cancel.

You do not set a password in the enrollment form. Yarpad creates a student account, generates a temporary password, and associates the student with you. Yarpad also queues a welcome email containing the student's login credentials. The email may take time to arrive.

Explain the student's first sign-in

Tell the student to complete these steps after receiving the login credentials:

  1. Open the Yarpad sign-in page.
  2. Sign in using the email address and temporary password from the welcome email.
  3. Follow the Email Verification process when it appears.
  4. Enter the activation code received by email.
  5. Complete activation and sign in.

The student must activate the account before appearing in your My students list. A successful enrollment submission does not make an inactive student visible in that list.

Manage a visible student

After the student activates the account and appears in My students, the available actions are:

  • Sessions
  • Notes
  • Progress
  • Unpick teacher

Troubleshooting

The student is not visible in My students

Ask the student to sign in and complete the Email Verification process. Newly enrolled students remain hidden from My students until their accounts are activated. Yarpad does not provide a pending-student list in this workflow.

The welcome email has not arrived

The welcome email is queued for delivery after enrollment and may not arrive immediately. The enrollment form does not provide a resend-welcome-email action.

The email address is already used

This workflow creates a new student account. An email address already used by an account is not enrolled as a new account through this workflow. There is no existing-student enrollment option in the enrollment form.
